top performing organic social media posts

MY ROLE

art director, strategist, content creator

This page showcases the posts I’ve executed, art directed, and ideated that have become some of the best performing content since reactivating the iRobot social platforms in late 2024. These posts contributed to a 300% increase in growth and 125% increase in engagement within the first year, and a continued KPI growth of 50% year-over-year.

stranger things x roomba

The best performing post since reactivation, with over 235k views. Since pop culture content works, I came up with the idea to recreate the famous blinking Christmas lights scene from Stranger Things, to go-live the day of the final season premiere,by animating the lights to reveal a Roomba-themed message.

Social Manager, Kyle Eber, took it a step further to turn this idea into a game for the viewers. Using the revealed message, and a hidden bit.ly link, we gave the audience the chance to solve a puzzle. The prize? A $10 e-giftcard to shop on iRobot.com!

world kindness day giveaway

While looking up fun and silly national and international holidays for content inspiration, I came across World Kindness Day. Some of my initial ideas were a “kind things you can do for yourself” post, or a “here’s how to pay it forward” infographic. The giveaway idea was sort of a passing one, since I wasn’t sure if it was something we could do. Amazingly, we got the green light to move forward with it.

This was the first time we’d done anything like this as a team, and we were stunned at the response. We had finally surpassed the 112k follower count, which had seemed frozen for years, and ended up with over 113k. And the best part—gifting 5 winners who were in need of some cleaning help.

showgirl afterparty timelapse

As a proud Swiftie, I had to think of how to relate Roomba to Taylor Swift. I’m sure the showgirl herself could always use a cleanup buddy to do the chores, while she rests after a show.

Leadership had been requesting a timelapse video of some kind, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to show Roomba vacuuming up a perfectly reaonable amount of orange confetti.

Kyle Eber was tasked with hiding an easter egg in the caption copy, and he fulfilled all of my hopes.

“take the edge off” trend

At the time, 2 of our latest robots had extending mops to reach deep into corners and edges of the floor—a brand new feature. The trend, “a little something to take the edge off",” was also viral at this time. My idea was to compile clips showing this extending motion with the trending audio and copy on top.

“this is my zen garden” trend

With my living room carpet being a little fuzzier, I thought it would serve as the perfect “garden” to my Roomba, with the clean trail lines satisfyingly visible.
